Just pulled up the the locks?… 7:25pm, Saturday the 14th of July. Saw a Hispanic male, slender to medium build, around 5ft 8inches, going back and forth among the row of parked cars in the south parking lot of the locks. (just before the train bridge) They were in a late 1980’s blue Camaro, parked in the middle spot in the lot. The man sat in the passenger seat, door open and glared at me. They reparked at the exit, pointing outwards towards the exit. The passenger ran back to a Honda? and smashed the rear window, then ran back to his car and they took off eastbound on Commodore way. I’d noted the plate on arrival 007-ZNI , and made a 911 call at 7:27pm. No police response as of 8:30 when we left the matter with the owner/victim a young family with kids. According to the owner, nothing was taken, I saw a folding chair in the back I suspect the thief thought was a golf club set through the tinted windows.
Good tip.? BTW, there are large numbers of transients that hang out in that park, mostly in the center between the two parking lots in the large grouping of trees.? Not exactly sure if they are camping or simply hanging out, but quite a few, and the occasionally wonder out with cans of beer and forty ouncers…? I recently reported it to the Seattle Parks Dept, FWIW…

That is pretty worthless…it only shows if there is an outstanding violation associated with the license plate.? Such as an unpaid parking ticket or speeding ticket.? I ran my own plates and nothing comes up….
Not totally worthless. When they have more violations it can reveal the car’s owner. A lead.?
And what do you intend to do with this “lead’ if they have already been reported to the police?
When you have a block watch network the group can watch for the suspects. The police aren’t going to do anything until they catch the prowlers in the act.?
Excellent, I like that, I used to volunteer years ago as a block watch captain here in Magnolia, but I still don’t understand what purpose you have with trying to search out the identity with license plate numbers.? Give the info to the police….of what use is this information?to you? I am starting to sense some sort of vigilantism here….please, lets not go there
Plate number doesnt exist, must be a typo somewhere…
take the dash out of it……
shows up as a blue, 2 door coupe 007ZNI
Also shows Pontiac, so a TransAm, not a Camaro (same look, different make) so they were using their own plate at least.
