Dr. Lina Kim was giving back to the community one little patient at a time during Give Kids a Smile Day at her Magnolia dental office on Friday.
Children who wouldn?t normally have access to enough dental care because of financial need got a chance to receive professional assistance from Dr. Kim. The American Dental Association encourages member dentists to provide free services.
?When I see kids not getting enough dental care, it hurts.? said Dr. Kim.
This is the second year that Dr. Kim has offered her services to young patients in need. To find patients, she coordinates with an education group called the Washington Oral Health Foundation to find families from all over Seattle who need work on their teeth. A total of twelve children were scheduled Friday for free services.
?I love kids,? explains Dr. Kim, a Queen Anne resident, wife, and mother of two children. ?It?s rewarding when I can give back.?
In practice for the past eight years, Dr. Kim is also a dentist at Children?s Hospital and a graduate of the University of Washington School of Dentistry where she is a faculty member. Dr. Kim?s office is located at 3150 W. Government Way.

Wow it is really overwhelming because she had provided a dental smile to all unfortunate children.
This is so inspiring! Kids will be really grateful for the help and the heartwarming dental care!
Many children can benefit on this..Caring for children’s teeth from an early age will help them to grow up with healthy teeth and gums.
Good for her! It’s a great deed, and the children can go home with healthier smiles and better teeth.
