Ok, to be fair, I’ve only been to eight or nine of Magnolia’s Seafair parades, so I don’t have a huge history. But in this editor’s opinion, this parade was the best that I’ve seen. The entries were great. The timing was perfect. The weather (although a couple of thunder claps and a few lightening bolts were spotted) held out. It was a fabulous parade.
Here are a few shots. Please feel free to send us your favorites.
And still so much more fun to be had!
Absolutely the best in my 15 years here.
Lightening != lightning. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Gv0H-vPoDc
Otherwise — agree completely!
Thanks so much for the correction!! Humbly noted.
Whoever was in charge of scheduling the entries (so the parade moved continuously, with few stops or gaps) did a great job, too.
Also, thanks to the candy-throwers who held some back for the end of the route! Some years the kids watching near Albertson’s don’t get much.
Actually, I’d love to make one very small, almost insignificant request for future parade organizers — would be great if you could put a little extra space between “musical” floats. One of the drill teams did quite a job blowing away the bagpipes that were right behind them! 🙂
Oh dear, looks like someone find the “sepia” setting.
The parade was fun but this year’s Summerfest was the lamest ever. There were what, 4 or 5 food booths/trucks? It seemed like there were fewer art and business booths too. I hope this isn’t the end of Summerfest. 🙁
