I live just east of Discovery Park and the past two nights starting at seven it sounds as if there are motorcycle races going on in the north parking lot. Screeching of tires, screaming engines, and revving, revving, revving all seem to come from the abandoned parking lots of Ft Lawton and the stairway leading to the north parking lot.I don’t know if there is anything sanctioned going on or not.Just wondering if anyone?knew?

I was walking up there with my dog last night and saw the motorcycles in one of the parking lots at Ft Lawton, the one in front of the newer looking building on the north/west area of the ft. Definitely didnt look like anything sanctioned. Definitely annoying though to hear that go on for so long.
They are using the parking lots that belong to the Veterans
Administration (the newer building) and the Army – CALL 911. The VA and the Army have contracts with Seattle Police to respond to complaints about potential illegal activity on their properties. CALL 911 and let SPD investigate.
