By March, a new clothing boutique will open in the location formerly occupied by Around the Block.

In case you saw the ?leased? sign at the Village location formerly occupied by Around the Block at 3308 W. McGraw St. and wondered who the next occupant might be, The Magnolia Voice can now reveal the nature of the new business soon to inhabit the empty storefront, but not its name. It will be a clothing boutique, although the new owner says it?s too early to reveal the identity of the store to keep down the ?hype.?
With labels you might recognize such as AG Denim, Joe?s Jeans, Habitual, Amanda Uprichard, Michael Kors, and Splendid, to name a few, this store is the second of its kind in Seattle. The owner said these are just a sample of the brands that will be available–but not until March.
When asked, ?Why Magnolia?? the new owner, who lives right here, says the changing demographics of the bluff make sense from a ?gut level? perspective.
As an added bonus, the owner says, if you?re looking for a new place to ?hang out,? the store is designed for just that. There will be Wi-Fi, comfy couches, TVs, and other amenities.
The owner is also planning a grand opening bash once everything is in place.
The lease was handled by Windermere Commercial Real Estate agent, Lauren Hendricks.
