This is always fun to do with kids, and good to see kids getting out on bikes with their parents. ?A downside of living in Magnolia is that the hills discourage new riders, and there are very few flat routes. The full route of Bike the Bluff is pretty challenging for kids – that clockwise route up and along the bluff is a category 5 climb (according to mapmyride, for you Tour de France fans.)And the recommended scenic detour down to the West Point lighthouse and back? A killer. If any 5th grader from Blaine can bike up that road without stopping, I’d pay that kid’s way to the Bainbridge environmental camp.
