If you are thinking about starting the year by giving back to the community, you might want to check out the Discovery Park Volunteer Open House on Thursday(1/6) from 5:00 ? 8:00pm.
You are invited to drop in any time during the evening to meet veteran volunteers and discover the perfect volunteer position for your new year.
There will be food, prizes and lots of information at the open house.
The volunteer positions that are available include docent, monthly bird survey, habitat restoration steward, advisory council member, project assistant and database entry for bird sightings.
