This week Magnolia resident Marla Beck got a shot-in-the-arm from the Puget Sound Business Journal. Her company, Andelcare, was named to the journal?s list of top 50 Women-Owned, Washington-Based Companies.
A home health care agency that serves Greater Puget Sound, Andelcare was ranked number 42 with recent annual earnings nudging $2.5 million.
?We survived the recession!? observed Marla about her very? ?people? intensive service.
To put this list in perspective, Andelcare is the only home care and home health agency on the list. In contrast, many of the state?s top, women-owned companies relate to the marketing and communications industry.
