About the artist

marilyn

Marilynn A. Sheldon was born and raised in Washington State.? Her first artistic love was in the fine arts, painting with oils and later with acrylics, as a NW artist she loves the color and light famous to this region.

In 2010, after 30 years, Marilynn retired from the non-profit 5th Avenue Theatre where she was the Founding Managing Director.? And, now for the last several years her concentration has gone back to painting with a focus on abstract and impressionistic themes.? She takes her inspiration from the NW landscapes and the Florida Keys, two very different light and color palettes.

She loves this stage of her life. She thanks her husband and her friends for their love and encouragement giving and the Seattle Women?s Art Collective for their support and enthusiasm.
