If you have not tried the offerings of Where Ya At Matt yet, check out this review from Seattle Magazine.
We first wrote about this restaurant on wheels that serves authentic Creole soul food including po-boys, muffulettas, homemade gumbo, red beans, and fresh made beignets last summer. Where Ya At Matt is run by Matt Lewis, a Magnolia resident with a cooking history beginning in New Orleans.
Seattle Magazine food writer Allison Austin Scheff raves about Matt?s chow, especially the gumbo. ?The best gumbo I?ve tasted in Seattle comes from Where Ya At Matt?s food truck. Chef Matthew Lewis? version ($8) features the holy trinity of celery, onions and bell peppers, and it pulses with heat from hunks of house-cured andouille sausage and Creole spice. A toasty brown roux gives it a creamy-smooth base.?
You can see if you agree when the Where Ya At Matt truck rolls into Interbay at 16th and Dravus every Friday and Saturday from 11a.m. to 2p.m. starting on January 14th. The full schedule is here.
We do agree…Best Gumbo outside of New Orleans. And the Po-Boys and Beignets should not be missed!!!!
Funny this story was posted today. When the Seahawks made New Orleans look bad on national TV. Hahahahaha.
I am glad things are working out well for you, and look forward to seeing you soon at 16th and Dravus
