Seattle School District’s Bell Times Task Force has put forth a new recommendation which includes Catharine Blaine K-8 in TIER 3 for the 2016-17 school year. This means a?9:40 start time, and a 4:20 end time for the school day.? Many?families are unhappy about the proposed?schedule.?Click on this link to see King 5’s video coverage.
All are invited to the Community School Board Meeting with Sue Peters this Saturday at the Queen Anne Library from 11-1 to share your thoughts on the proposal. A member of Blaine’s ?outreach writes:
A large presence from our Blaine community will send a powerful message regarding the proposal to change our 2016-17 bell schedule. We urge families to attend and represent our school! If you would like to carpool to the meeting please meet at Uptown Espresso (in the village)?at 10:30 am this Saturday morning.?
