Magnolia author Robin Ray has just officially published his first book,?a collection of 3 novellas and 8 short stories called Wetland and Other Stories. According to Amazon:

With its backdrop of the Pacific Northwest, these modern tales conjoin themes such as hope, drug abuse, homelessness and redemption. Running the gamut from general narrative to crime to horror, Wetland & Other Stories is sure to please those with a taste for variety and an affinity for contemporary fast-paced fiction.
Born in sunny Trinidad & Tobago, he emigrated to the U.S. when he was 12 years old. It didn?t take long for him to realize he had a penchant for the arts, specifically, music, drawing and literature. Often hampered with setbacks over the years, he nevertheless continued to work at his various disciplines. He?s co-owned and worked?at a recording studio in NYC, played in several rock bands and has had his poems and short stories published in various magazines.
“I really liked this book, with the short stories standing out as some of my favorites to date. It’s a quick read. If you like Seattle, if you’ve seen some hard times in your life, if you’ve got an interest in different walks of life, you’re going to like it. I’ll be watching this author, though I’m biased because I love Seattle and am a sucker for books set in the city. The short stories are nice bite-sized samples of life in different settings that work well together and resonate on at least a few different levels. Highly recommend.
