We just received this email from an MV reader:
Our VW Passat wagon was stolen from in front of our Magnolia home last Monday and then found late Tuesday evening in Discovery Park?burned up!
The police took the initial report but have done no follow-up to our knowledge in spite of the very strange circumstances.
We have lived in Magnolia for 17 years and are used to car prowls but have never had a car stolen, much less burned. We hope that the crime levels in our neighborhood have not risen to the point that this type of crime is considered so routine as to be ignored? by the Seattle Police Department.
At the very least, we would like our Magnolia neighbors to be aware of this crime so thought I?d send this information on to you.
