Magnolia’s Summerfest and Art Show counts on the people who volunteer to make it happen and they are looking for help again this year.? If you are interested in volunteering, there are a ton of opportunities to put your creative talents to good use.? They are looking for an Art Show Chair to coordinate the Art Show.? They have a committed Co-chair, but need someone to take charge and run with it. The Art Show is a non-juried show where all artists who enter are welcome.
They are also looking for a Vendor Coordinator.? This person needs to be able to keep good records, and keep 80+ vendors happy.? Sources say this is a fun job?and is a lot of work over the weekend of the Festival. They are looking for a high-energy individual with a great sense of humor.
Both of the volunteer positions have the essential systems in place and just require the right people to step in and take the lead.? Time commitment for?these?jobs is about 1-2 hours per week until the week of the Festival (expect to be busy the entire weekend).
They are also looking for volunteer worker bees during the festivities:
6-8 people to help set up the Art Show exhibit space
4-5 people to help mark the field for vendor setup, load-in and tear down
If you know a high school student in need of volunteer hours, or you are new to the community and would like to meet people, this is a great chance.? Or, if you’ve enjoyed Summerfest in the past, and feel like you could contribute a few hours, they would love to have your help.?Magnolia Chamber President?Dan Penhollow?says Summerfest volunteers are a great bunch of people and helping to put on this amazing family event is lots of fun and satisfying as well.
Summerfest is set for August 2nd and 3rd this year.
