‘Tis the season…please be on the lookout in our little Village and?call 911 if you see anything suspicious!! This one happened yesterday morning (sent in by Derek):
?I wanted to let you know that we were burglarized today, Monday July 8th sometime between 8:00 AM and 11:00AM. We live on 37th and Ruffner. They broke a locked window to gain access, then ransacked the place, stealing some jewelry. They did not take any electronics or large items, but did steal our small lockbox which contained only legal documents. We were made aware of the break-in when a woman on Queen Anne found my passport, which had been in the lockbox, and was able to contact me. The police responded after about two hours and explained that they were delayed due to – you guessed it- the high number of burglaries today.
Who is Art Ven Der Wel and how is his estate of importance to this story?
Seriously. All I know about him is that he laid off employees without any benefits when his business slowed down during the recession. Makes it sound like he was some big deal.
Wrong article, folks. Try again.
Yes, it is regards to the mention of the Art Van Der Wel estate and the wife as a bookkeeper of “his estate”. He claimed to be in poverty when he was laying off people. Comments belong…in the previous article.
Get over it Janet! Wrong article and by the way Art has helped many families in Magnolia.
