With the state-run liquor store?in the Village closed, where can Magnolians buy libations? Well, as of today:
Albertson’s and Interbay QFC are stocked and ready to ring you up, and Thriftway? is selling an array of?local spirits, with big brand names slated to arrive on Monday. Happy Friday!
Jut got back from Albertson’s, where I left without the two items I went to get (not stocked) but there were no less than 10 old men gathered in the liquor aisle.
What did you expect? Its Albertsons.
I must be one of the few than couldn’t care less if a grocery now carries hard liquor.??Same price, poor selection,?and?employees not familiar with the products (at least the ones they don’t drink personally), sounds like a good plan.? ?
MoDrizzle, here is a solution:?take an extra 15 minutes to drive to Wine World?and Spirits?in Wallingford.? They are stocking 6 or 7 times what Albertsons is (2000 labels) AND hired a couple experts in spirits to be on duty during store hours to assist customers with advice.

Yeah Billy be sure to bring the lube for the bend-over you’re going to get at WW. Talk about screwing the consumer and I’m not talking about the added taxes!
At least buy me a drink first…
Well, that is the beauty of the free market system…I gave an alternative that has worked well for myself and my friends….you are welcome to offer yours.?
Magnolia liquor store is re-opening soon
