Magnolia singer featured in choir performances

Kids from all over Seattle?s neighborhoods, including Drew Medak, 18, of Magnolia, are participating in this year?sNorthwest Boychoir?s A Festival of Lessons & Carols.

Performances by the 90-member group take place at locations all over Seattle including a Sunday, Dec. 18 performance in Ballard and a final show Wednesday, Dec. 21 at Benaroya Hall.
Each performance, guided the choir?s music director Joseph Crnko, a Queen Anne resident, consists of nine holiday readings, each followed by a traditional carol performed by the choir, and another carol sung by the choir and audience.
The Ballard performance is at 7 p.m., Sunday Dec. 18, at St. Alphonsus Church at 5816 15th Ave. N.W. Tickets are $24 adult, $19 senior, $14 student. The closing show is at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 21, at Benaroya Hall at 200 University St. You can reserve tickets by calling 206-215-4747 or by visiting?www.seattlesymphony.org.

  1. I go to their performance every year and am never disappointed.? These young singers have great diction as they read the lessons, I am always impressed.? It will be well worth your time if you are able to go.? Christmas would not be the same without this and I am glad Seattle has this great tradition.
