In a tragic turn of events, Teresa Morgan, a Magnolia mother who had been mourning the recent loss of her daughter, Arwen, and whose friends and family had been supporting her by way of uplifting musical events, has committed suicide.

Friends and family of Morgan had made extraordinary efforts to lift her spirits, to help her to cope and heal after the death of her daughter, Arwen. Benefit concerts around Seattle were planned on her behalf. Two had already taken place and a third was planned for this Sunday, Dec. 11.

Now, instead of a Sunday concert, friends and family will honor Morgan’s life through a community, memorial song circle the same day from 7 to 10 p.m., at the Center for Wooden Boats adjacent to Lake Union Park at 1010 Valley St.

A memorial will take place at 5 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 18 at Immanuel Lutheran Church at 1215 Thomas St. in South Lake Union.

And another remembrance event is tentatively scheduled for Jan. 26 at The Q Café at 3223 15th Ave. W.

  1. I am so sorry for your loss. Loosing a parent, sibling or friend is a lot of pain but loosing a child is the worst pain parent can go thru. My prayers goes out to the family.
