Coffee talk with SPS?s Michael DeBell at Caffe Appasionato

With the burning spotlight on Seattle Public Schools of late, there should be plenty to talk about at board member Michael DeBell?s coffee discussion this Saturday.
In the space of two weeks, the district added a new board member in Marty McLaren who ousted board president Steve Sundquist; is considering keeping interim superintendent Susan Enfield; and by way of U.S. Marshals in Tampa, Fla., may finally see closure in the spectacle that was Silas Potter Jr. Potter, the former head of the small-business assistance program, is accused of bilking the district out of $250,000. He is being arraigned today in Tampa and may be extradited to King County where has been charged with felony theft.
The community meeting is 9-11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 19 at Caffe Appasionato at 4001 21st Ave. N.W. near Fishermen?s Terminal.
