The Seattle Neighborhood Matching fund is hosting two community workshops this week, with an emphasis on emergency preparedness. The workshops will also include information about how to apply for the Small and Simple Projects Fund.

Seattle Department of Neighborhoods will hold two workshops for community members interested in applying to the fall cycle of theSmall and Simple Projects Fund, a program of the Neighborhood Matching Fund. ?Attendees will learn how to develop a competitive proposal for any project and hear about resources available for emergency preparedness projects.?Seattle Department of Neighborhoods and?Seattle Office of Emergency Management staff will be on hand to assist applicants and answer questions. ?The workshops will be held on:
Tuesday, Sept. 13 at the Ballard Public Library (5614 22nd Ave NW); 6 ? 8 p.m.; or
Thursday, Sept. 15 at The 2100 Building (2100 24th Ave S); 6 ? 8 p.m.
The deadline for the Small and Simple Projects Fund for awards up to $20,000 is Monday, October 17 by 5 p.m.
