I live in 32nd Ave West near Emerson and someone broke into my car’s back window looking for valuables last night. I heard some loud glass breaking noise last night around 10pm but never paid attention and this morning I realized it was the window of my car. The car was parked on the street below my house. I did have my gym bag stored on that side. Maybe that was the cause but I just want neighbors to be aware of this so we all are more careful.
We had someone going through unlocked vehicles last Saturday night (8/13) in the 2800 block of West Elmore Place. ?
I called the police last night around midnight after noticing two teenage-ish girls prowling my neighbor’s cars on 22nd ave w.? Both were between 5-4 and 5-9 ish, one had blond hair and the other it was difficult to tell.? I never heard back from police after the call, but wanted to let others know what I saw.?
“I never heard back from police after the call.”? That’s pretty standard for car prowls.? It stinks, but that’s the reality… bigger fish to fry, I guess?
Wow, I’m lucky – that’s just two block away, and I’ve been parked outside for the last two days while I’ve been using my garage as a staging area for house-cleaning. Glad to have the tip.
The back window of one of our cars was broken also.?? Inside was a bag that looked like a computer bag but it was countertop samples.??? Cost me $700 to replace window….gee thanks crooks.?? It was that same night and we live at 27th and Dravus.??? Funny how we don’t even report this anymore as it happens so often.?
