The retail store on 32nd Ave West by Bartell Drugs that was left vacant when Hollywood Video closed is getting two new tenants.
Pet Pros will be relocating from their current location on McGraw Street and will share the space with a new branch of Umpqua Bank.
The move will happen in the next few months since the space needs to be renovated to accommodate both tenants. Pet Pros tells us that they are looking forward to having a larger space for their pet food and supply store. No word on whether a new tenant has been located for the space Pet Pros will be vacating.
One other business note. LyLy Nails is moving to the space that was formerly occupied by Katy?s Daisies at 2436 32nd Ave West. That store closed in December after two years in operation. No word on when the nail salon will move from its current location on McGraw Street.
Excited about Umpqua! Read reviews on Portland’s Yelp. Good espresso and free-wi fi for customers, cookies on Fridays, and they give you chocolate if you make a deposit! Sold. Buh-bye, Chase. Buhhhh-byyyyye.
Yes, because that’s really the right qualifications to look for when trusting someone with all your money: free chocolate and cookies on Fridays. 🙂
Absolutely! 😀 Actually I do wish there was a credit union opening, as someone mentioned, but I’ve heard good things (confections and coffee aside) about Umpqua. Could be worse.
do you get a toaster for opening a new account?
I’ve heard you get a bag of coffee, but it might be different for different branches. I would imagine there will be some free goodies for the opening at least.

Because the village needs yet another bank? Really?
It’d be nice if we had a credit union. At least a credit union ATM. BECU anyone?
A credit union would be awesome. But doesn’t Magnolia have a standing offer to Queen Anne, 2 of our banks for just one of their breakfast places?
We are on the same page…we need a bagel shop. Bad.
