Local author Ron Reagan Junior came to the Magnolia Village to promote his book, ?My Father at 100.? on Friday night.  Reagan?s book is creating controversy, including a claim that his father suffered from Alzheimer?s disease while in the White House, a claim dismissed by Reagan?s doctors and outside experts

The Magnolia event lasted for over two hours and drew a big crowd that wanted to meet the 40th President?s son.

To accommodate the over 250 people who attended, the book signing was moved from the limited space at Magnolia?s Bookstore to MTI Physical Therapy two doors down.

Even with the move, the crowd soon outnumbered the seats provided and standing room in the back became a hot commodity.

Reagan spoke briefly on his inspiration for the book and detailed some of the family history he had unearthed. After taking questions from the crowd, Reagan made himself available to sign books.

Five year old Evan Otte enjoyed the free jelly beans, widely known as Reagan?s favorite, that were handed out to the waiting crowd.

About the author

      1. He’s not actually a person of the right if you pay attention to his political views. He and his father don’t share much beyond genes.

  1. Common error….he’s not a “junior.” He is Ronald Prescott Reagan. Dad was Ronald Wilson Reagan.

  2. I always remember SNL skit he did when he danced with a guitar in boxer shorts ala Tom Cruise. Dad was in the Whitehouse at the time and it caused quite the scandle.

  3. I like Ron Reagan! I’ve seen him and his wife around the village and they are very friendly and down-to-earth. The book sounds interesting.
