Seattle Parks and Recreation will open Lowery C. “Pop” Mounger Pool, Saturday, May 13 at 10:00 a.m. for the summer season. The pool will remain open until September 10, 2017. Click here to see the Mounger Pool brochure for information on closure dates and holiday operating schedule.

Mounger Pool is two pools in one place. The “big pool” has a 50-foot corkscrew slide and the warmer, shallower “little pool” is great for relaxing and for teaching little ones. The slide will be free on Thursdays from 6:35 to 8 p.m. Throughout summer, SPR will host Fun Family Fridays nights from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. with games, activities and prizes. Special Fun Family Fridays themes include “Frozen Winter Wonderland”, “Under the Sea Adventure”, and “Outrageous Animal Safari”.

For more information, contact the pool at 206-684-4708, “like” Lowery C. “Pop” Mounger Pool on Facebook, or click here to view the Mounger Pool brochure with information on swim lessons, special events, recreation swims and more.

SPR’s other outdoor pool is Colman Pool, located in West Seattle. This pool is a heated saltwater pool that features a giant tube slide. Colman Pool will open for weekends-only beginning May 27 and will operate on a full schedule beginning June 19.
