Met Market liquor heist

Posted on August 18th, 2014 by Sara

Magnolia’s Metropolitan Market was broken into early Sunday morning, sometime between midnight and 5am.  According to Assistant Store Director, Nick Novak, the burglars threw a large rock through a panel in the north entrance, and then smashed out a glass door in the spirits case. At least $500 in liquor was stolen.

Novak says the thieves bypassed the high-end spirits for less expensive liquor.

Police are searching for those responsible for the crime. Novak adds that there has been an increase in graffiti around the store this summer.
