New streets!

We?will soon enjoy improved pavement on West Dravus Street between 20th Avenue West and 28th Avenue West. Crews from the Seattle Department of Transportation will replace damaged concrete panels. Traffic will be detoured starting 9 a.m. on March 19 until 6 p.m. on March 28, weather permitting, to Thorndyke Avenue West and West Blaine Street.

  1. Great timing SDOT — the project at 17th and Dravus certainly dovetails nicely with closing Dravus up the hill — not. Two big crews with big trucks — it’s hard to get to 15th. You couldn’t stagger? Will appreciate the new surface but not so much lights at 17th.

Oh well, I’m sure there’s *some* reason.

    1. I agree — why don’t they complete one job before shutting down several more streets and not completing any job in a timely manner. It is causing total gridlock. We need a four way stop at Manor Place and 28th. The drivers on 28th Street and now the detour to Manor Place from Dravus drive their cars like they are at the Indy 500. They totally ignore the 20 mph sign. One of these crazy drivers will kill someone in the near future, if not this next week during the Dravus Street closure.
