Left Turn out of Ballard played instrumental jazz throughout the night. Lots of folks gathered around at Starbucks. The sound could be heard all over the Village.

Uptown Espresso was open last night even though the grand opening was this morning. Owners Dow Lucurell (left) and Pete Noble were on hand last night to greet visitors...if a day early.

Magnolia resident Renee Waliser checks out some cat art last night. She said it was, "Great to see Magnolia come together like this."

Yvonne Rogell, on internship from Sweden, is a blogger for the Common Language Project at the University of Washington. She was "very impressed," with the art on display last night.

Anna Beard (right) owner and baker at Upper Crust Bakery critiques some art inside her establishment. Outside the front door a guitarist strummed night music.
