The annual Magnolia Summerfest and Art Show, which is held the Friday, August 3rd and Saturday August 4th, is a well known tradition in our community.?A large part of the Festival is the Art Show, with Adult and Youth categories. Youth up to 18 years of age may enter one piece of art with no fee and Adult artists may enter up to three pieces with a fee of $12 per piece. From photography, paintings, sculpture, ceramics, and mixed-media, the Art Show is a wonderful collection of? local art most of which is available for purchase.? Entries are judged in several categories and cash awards will be presented on the Main Stage, Saturday, August 4th at 2:30 pm. Entering artwork in the Art Show has been streamlined through the Magnolia Summerfest website here .? Images can be uploaded and fees paid in a few simple steps. So enter right away!? All entries accepted!
In addition to art, don’t forget to sign your budding star up for the annual youth ?talent show put on by Magnolia Summerfest! Singers, dancers, and more will compete for cash prizes during the show Friday, August 3rd. from 7-9 pm.?Pick up?an application at Cocoa and Cream, 3210 1/2 W. McGraw Street.
