Gas leak prompts temporary street closure

A broken gas main at Gilman Avenue West this afternoon prompted the partial closure of Gilman Avenue West at West Fort Street. Metro buses were rerouted, Seattle police blocked off the intersection and ?residents were informed to stay clear of the leak. Readers reported the odor from the leak could be smelled from Commodore Way to the north.

The leak has since been fixed and King County has reported that all bus routes have been restored.

      Hey it happened
again today on the north side of the Magnolia hill now Not Spokane. Who’s fault
is it this time?; The construction company, the gas company or the CAR that WAS
“speeding” and ran over a power pole causing the unexpetable repair.
My friend yesterday told me he wants to get bikes off the road because they inconvenience
him and he thinks only his taxes as being a current car driver paying gas tax
have ever paid for those roads. Thanks Josh Yokala of Dunn Lumber’s Finance
Department your “greed” is awesomely horrid.

      1. Wow, that is one rambling post…. ;)? Random discussion on a similar incident in Spokane?? Plus commentary on bicycles, and a personal stab at some guy “Josh” you outed at Dunn Lumber?? Amazing….is Josh the bike hater?? lol

  1. It all started with a car wreck that took out a utility pole at 3am. City light apparently caused the leak when digging to installing a new pole.
